WordPress is by far the best content management system I have used since I decided to start blogging. However, I really had no idea about creating a proper post when I first started. Looking back at some of my free WordPress sites I have accumulated over the years made me realize that there are many people like me needing to familiarize themselves with the system in order to gain its full potential. My first sites were so amateur, it gave me such a giggle. A picture and paragraphs. I just couldn’t understand much further than that at the beginning.
WordPress is so easy
Once you get the hang of how to create your first proper post, it is as if magic happens. Your site looks like an actual site. I just couldn’t wrap my head around how to even accomplish that before I received a life-saving hour long live tutorial from a dear friend from Tanzania named Lisa. Today, I feel pro. But at the time of Lisa saving my butt for a work project, I was teary-eyed as she lovingly taught me the best practices in order to write a successful WordPress blog post which revolved around Yoast SEO.
WordPress and SEO plugins
For the longest time, I did use Yoast SEO. But, a BIG BUT, I would sit for up to two hours to ensure I got those ambitious green lights for all of my content uploads. And, it didn’t seem too productive because even after a year of feeling professional at the WordPress posting bit, I was still spending too much of time trying to get Yoast to green light me. And then, I switched to Rank Math.
SEO plugins that work
Yoast has an amazing network of people producing top notch video tutorials which are free to view on YouTube. Their website is also amazing, very helpful universally and with the certification that comes with it, Yoast is truly a great SEO plugin service. I was curious about other SEO plugins. So I did some research and watched some videos online. When I installed Rank Math, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. It was then that I just knew I found my ideal SEO plugin. Plus there are features that just work for me as a content writer who juggles many hats during the day.
Easy peasy content writing
If I had to rank Rank Math I would give this SEO plugin a definite 10 out of 10. It just works for me so well. It has made my life easier because Yoast simply took an hour away from me doing something more productive than trying to get my grammar correct. I mean, seriously, I just can’t get the transition words to work for me and I have been writing for half of my life already. Rank Math makes me feel that I can write freely and that all I need to do is follow a few steps to ensure my post does get boosted in the algorithm process of elimination.
Content writing is frustrating
With the introduction of Artificial Intelligence, I can safely say 100% that life has become so much easier. There are many people who disagree. For me, personally, I think of a great prompt for my Ai and then, I am posting within seconds. However, I have advised my teenager, enjoy Ai as much as you possibly can, but also using one’s own brain function is exercise. It should be done sometimes. We really could end up with lazy brains if we don’t use them for passion projects which we enjoy. For every subject or project that we don’t, Ai will always be there to lend a digitally-friendly helping hand, and I LOVE that!
